No data collected

Shan Shui Animated Wallpaper does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data or usage analytics. There are no accounts, no tracking, and no third-party SDKs.

100% offline

The app makes no network connections of any kind. Nothing leaves your Mac — ever. The landscape is drawn on your Mac from code that ships inside the app. The Privacy Policy menu item only asks your browser to open this page, and you choose when to do that.

What is stored on your Mac

Only your Speed and Density settings, in the standard macOS preferences for the app. You can delete them at any time by deleting the app and its preferences. Export Current Frame saves a PNG only where you choose in the save dialog. The app changes your desktop picture only if you choose Apply App Background in the menu and press This Space. The app does not read or write any other files.

Disclaimer & limitation of liability

Shan Shui Animated Wallpaper is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any damages, loss, or consequences arising from the use of, or inability to use, the software — including any case where it malfunctions or does not perform exactly as expected. You use the app at your own risk.
